According to socialmediatoday posted on October 2010“Vashon Patterson realist that social networking was going to be the next big thing in the music industry”, today there social media used proves that it has increased as they are many social media that publicist use but mostly they use sites like:

1.    My Space to check out the clients the going to work with because that where they find most talented musicians
2.    Facebook to create a good image for their clients in engaging them to communicate with their clients
3.    Twitter is for their clients to update whatever their doing and plans of music
4.    YouTube to upload their clients favourite video for the audiences that support the clients

different social media used by musicians and music industries
I think publicist should make an effort in assisting the clients in using this social media simply to create a communications between the musicians and their fans and it helps them to connect with other musician and music industries. According to hypepot.com on 19 January 2012 posted that“2012 will see an increased scrutiny on social media marketing strategies, metrics and results”,the social media helps the musician to keep their fans updated with their events and creates a good relationship between them and their fans. are we familiaries ourselves to social media to keep in touch with our muscians.
