Are we adapting to social media that we forget about print media
Print media nowadays seem to be buried away source:link this |
Music industries and other organisation are adapting the technology and social media, this causes many debate if online media will replace the print media and does this mean that the print media is useless or are they not used by organisations, if press releases are not also used to create exposure for your organisation or artist will online media or social media do that?
Some few online media and print media
- Newspapers vs online news
- Press release vs Twitter
- Photojournals vs Facebook photos
With the question asked I think the reason why social media has been used is because as technology is being introduced in organisations it creates an interactive communication that can be analysed in no time. By using technology means that we are being proactive and effective by adapting and not perishing. But I recommend that organisations should use both media because even though new media is being adapted other audience or stakeholders still prefer to have the hardcopy.
Online media is vastly growing and this is becoming a very big challenge for companies to keep themselves in the public sphere. However I think that organisations should adapt so that they may not perish.
ReplyDeleteyes adapting as a company means you are proactive
Deleteorganisations should adapt and find ways to stay in the game. online media is the new trend that organisations should fimilarise themselves with in order to get intouch with their stakeholders.
ReplyDeleteonline media is the new media that gets the information out there faster and it creates an interactive communication with stakeholders
DeleteOnline media is immensely growing faster. I think as time goes by, print media won't stand a chance as many organisation familiarise themselves with the new technology and day by day they adapt to the new world we are facing now.
ReplyDeleteyes they should adapt to new technologies because the ma stand a chance of having losses in their business
DeleteNew media is really changing the way we live in, but i personally do not think that we should now abandon old media.
ReplyDeletei agree with you Nqwaba because this will be a great deal of job loss to those who work in the print media
DeleteUsage of online media is significantly different among demographics. There is displacement in which print media is, being gradually displaced by online media as the primary source of information. I think that as the world changes, the ways information is disseminated should also change to make it convient for all media consumers, thus not forgeting print media. Online media has its own set of target audiences
ReplyDeleteso do you think online media will take over print media there way it is now, because the youth is adapting to it what are chances of print being used in the next years coming
DeleteI am certain that Online media will take over in the next coming future, especially now that we see the society revolves and changes everyday. I mean who wants to carry a newspaper if I will be able to access it online. This is the technological environment even though internet connection lacks in this country, people change so as is the society
Deleteyou know online and social media are not expensive, this days you can even get a copy of a print media online so i think that is why we are forgetting about the print media
ReplyDeleteso you think that people do not have to use their airtime still to purchase this online media or social media because i understand for someone to have internet connection they have to have some aitime for that
DeleteOnline media is becoming powerful and this makes it difficult for print media to sell as it was selling before online media was introduced. In my opinion I think that print media is not useless because other people still consider it.
ReplyDeletei agree with you that people are still using print media because they prefer the hard copy but i think the print is lossing its stakeholder to online media everyday meaning that at the end print will be left with no audience
DeleteTruth is that we are moving with times, social media is taking over. Publications now have to consider going electronic or else they'll perish.
ReplyDeleteI total agree with you Nic because if they don't they stand a great deal to be bankrupt or have loss in the business
DeleteThe time of change is here, and change has brought about print media, we need to adapt to it. Social media is taking over and there’s no way of getting around it. Social media makes effective dialog.
ReplyDeleteyes companies and employers should be adoping to the social media so that they can interacting wih heir stakeholders
DeleteOnline media is easy accessible and cheap compared to print. and we are driven by new technology(iPhone, computers, atc.)is much easier to publish online and also readable.
ReplyDeleteyes it is especial fo us the youh who are adapting into he online media but ohe people sill prefer to use print media and if he don't have a lot of audience this will cause an impact in the budget they use
Deletei think each and evry organisation still use old media/print media.some of them they neglet the importance of having digital/online media especially small businesses. online media make your business easier, simple, time saving and it shows how innovative your organisation is.
ReplyDeleteit is supising that they don' adap o the social media which has poven that it is the best tool o attract a lot of stakeholdrs
DeleteChange is good, but online media should not be a replacement to print media, as some people still go for traditional media.
ReplyDeletebut the more audience they lose the more the will be replaced by the online media
Deletepeople are lazy to read.social media is the latest media that people engage in,OR AM I WRONG? but either way this is good cause it is taking us back to our roots
ReplyDeletei think people are not that lazy because immediately someone on social media tells them about something they then want to know the facts by themselves by reading online article about that particular issue they heard about on social media
DeleteI don't think that print media will just fade away like that, some people like reading their newspapers and you find that some do not even know how to use online media.
ReplyDeleteyes i agree with you but the audience of oline media is overweighting the audience of print media which used to be high
DeleteThis is another true fact because everything is so easily available on the net, but it is the disadvantaged major of south Africans that will never get this privileged.
ReplyDeleteso what was the sugestion that you still think that a lot of people will still use print meia because the don't have access to the net
